Hello
This is not a list of things which I'm thankful for, though they're plentiful. I mean, I've got tons of them. But instead, this is just a post about just things.
Where have I been for the last few weeks? Well, I've been falling into that same famous story that's caught so many of us over the millenia: Boy meets girl; boy falls for girl; girl gives boy debillitating head cold; boy recovers; boy sees girl again; girl gives boy debilitating head cold again. I'm sure you're familiar with it.
In just over two weeks, I'll be all graduated. This is highly disturbing. And exciting. My work is on display in two different departments (neither of them my home department) around campus. Similarly disturbing. And exciting.
Two weeks to finish up. Ho boy.
Tonight around midnight I head back to Pennsylvania, for the friday thanksgiving feast. Second of two. OK, there's something I'm damn thankful for.
I have a dozen ideas for silkscreen projects I'd like to do, and in two weeks I won't have the facilities to do them anymore. Alumni get access to libraries, but not studio space. Not so happy about that.
She's just way too sweet. Too smart. Too lovely.
The MTA bond measure got passed. I mean to write one of those gigantic posts about just what that means one of these days. After school and before work.
Work. Job hunting. Ho boy. THAT again. Spamming resumes and waiting for calls and nervously pushing papers at interviews. I guess it's required. I'm not good enough to have jobs pursue me like some people I know. Bastards.
When shopping for boots, all one will find are hundreds of really great, fantastic shoes. One will not find boots. When one finds boots, they will not be avilable in one's size. Nor will the other ones you find. Nor the others.
Gray and brown do not go together. They're conflicting neutrals for cryin' out loud. No.
Yes, I own a leather jacket which is both brown and black. Shut up.
Looking forward to seeing my friends and family in Atown again. Looking forward to later returning to what's waiting for me here.
