Dispatch #2 from the Not In The Bahamas Log
So, have you ever done this thing where you're walking down a hallway, pretty fast because you're late for something? And you're preoccupied and not paying attention? And then this pane of remarkably clean glass decides to get all up in your grill? And then with a thunderous clap, the next thing you know is that you're lying sprawled on your ass? And you slowly pick yourself up, fixing your glasses and walking dazedly through the door, which was about five feet to the left of where you thought it was? And you realize that you're going to have one nasty bruise on your brow?
No?
Oh. Because... ah... that happened to... a friend of mine today.
In other news, the lightly falling snow that looked so lovely at 4 this morning has mostly turned to water, leaving a few small piles of pebbly snow on the curbs. It kind of gives the impression that all the birds in the world decided to come to New York and then take a dump all at once.
Also, we might get a Nor'easter on Tuesday. Fun to look at. Not so much to walk around in.
